This day and age means busy schedules for both the working and stay at home parents. We are always running to try and finish things and there just doesn't seem to be enough hours in the day. Getting a hearty home cooked meal on the table sometimes seems darn near impossible, but feeding our children overly processed food makes us feel like unworthy parents.
I am always on the look out for a helping hand when it comes to meal times, so when I heard Progresso had released a new line of recipe starters I was super excited to give them a try.
The first one I tried was the Three Cheese Blend, at first I just made the recipe that comes under the label, each flavor offers a different recipe to fit what is in the can. I was not impressed with the Bacon Mac N Cheese. The cheese blend that comes in the can just didn't seem to fit with Mac N Cheese. Later I learned that the Three Cheese Blend makes and excellent Cheesy Potato Soup (or Cheese and Broccoli Soup) base. You can customize it to your liking but I loved it with chopped bacon, chives and shredded cheddar.
I am eager to try the other flavors, especially the Creamy Portabella Mushroom. You can find all of the flavors on Progresso's website as well as some yummy, yet easy, recipes to go along with them.
